2023/24 Argentina Soybeans 77.9% Harvested

The 2023/24 soybeans in Argentina were 77.9% harvested as of late last week, which represented an advance of 14.2% for the week. In the core regions, the soybeans are 85-90% harvested with 45-55% harvested in southern areas and 60% harvested in far northern Argentina.

The average nationwide soybean yield last week was 3,120 kg/ha (46.4 bu/ac), which is down 0.8 bu/ac from the prior week. Soybean yields range from a low of 1,780 kg/ha (26.5 bu/ac) in northern Argentina to a high of 3,870 kg/ha (57.6 bu/ac) in the northern core region. Soybeans in Argentina were rated 28% poor/very poor, 47% fair, and 25% good/excellent as of late last week. The good/excellent percentage was up 1% from the prior week. The soil moisture for the soybeans was rated 25% short/very short and 75% favorable/optimum. The favorable/optimum percentage was down 4% from the prior week.
